The Rubin Dialysis Center.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff at the Rubin Dialysis Center.

My husband Ralph became a patient May 2003 in Clifton Park. We were frightened and overwhelmed. The Staff were kind and caring and helped us take a step at a time.

The Clifton Park Center became like family very quickly. Questions always answered. They were never to busy! After a year on dialysis 3 times a week, I knew that Ralph really did need more dialysis (he is a large man). We had heard talk of a nocturnal dialysis program and started to ask questions. They felt we would be good candidates.

So our new adventure began. I was taught to put Ralph's needles in his fistula. (Because of a frozen shoulder he is not able to do it himself). I was taught the buttonhole method.

The staff was so good even when I was so nervous. I finally "got" the knack and made the trip with Ralph 3 times a week until it was time to begin Nocturnal.

The nocturnal staff (also OUTSTANDING) were so patient learning that machine.

I sometime wonder I we did it. Three years later we were back in training again but this time for the new Nxstage machine. Once again the staff was so understanding, even though we had done nocturnal on the Fresenius machine, the Nxstage was a whole new type of machine. We did master that and began Nxstage October of 2006.

We have traveled to many other dialysis centers and not one of any of the other center could compare with the treatment, care and outstanding staff.

Dialysis becomes a way of life. You schedule dialysis right into your daily wonderful life that you may not have expected to have.

Dialysis is being able to LIVE!
Life is GREAT!
