The Home Therapies Team of the Hortense and Louis Rubin Dialysis Center, Inc. offer a new, smaller, more user friendly home dialysis machine. The NxStage System OneTM, a simple, modular unit of only 70 pounds. The self contained Pureflow water (dialysate) preparation system has greatly reduced water consumption and reduces room needed for dialysis supplies in your home. The automated set up is designed to make this a quicker, more "user friendly" treatment option than other equipment previously available for home hemodialysis use.

In addition to making the health benefits of daily therapy more accessible, the ability to travel with your NxStage machine and have your supplies sent to you at that location is another benefit of this "patient friendly" technology. Our Nephrologists can now prescribe either extended or short-daily dialysis therapy (where you choose the time of day to do your treatment) - using the same NxStage machine. Many dialysis patients can take advantage of the ease of use, more time for family or work, and the ability to travel with NxStage.

This "simple, flexible, portable dialysis" allows the patient to have treatment when it is most convenient to their schedules ... not ours.
